…film has the power to build bridges across disparate experiences, highlight universalities of the human experience, and dispel uncomfortable stereotypes that Americans have of folks from other countries. By presenting the stories of racially diverse Jews, Muslims, and LGBTQ folks, the MJFF amplifies voices that are often ignored while not shying away from the complexities, conflicts, and variety of the global Jewish experience.
