Shorts Program -2019

Looking for  animation, documentaries, drama, and comedy all in one program?  Each year a group of MJFF volunteers watches countless shorts and picks the best to create a program that truly fulfills the Festival’s mission to “enrich, educate, and entertain.”   We hope you enjoy this year’s eclectic selection:

212 — Life and death as seen through the eyes of a nursing home staff member.

Bottomless — an animated cautionary environmental tale.

The Rabbi — A revealing confession by his favorite student rocks the world of a much-admired rabbi.

The Entertainer — A not so talented party entertainer spirals out of control at a young girl’s Bat Mitzvah.

Five Years After the War — The animated story of the son of a French Jewish mother and an Iraqi Muslim father who is a political refugee,  who struggles to find his identity.

Justification — A young Tel Avivian is sitting in a coffee shop,  preoccupied with her own thoughts when she is approached by a complete stranger with an urgent request.
