Racism, Blues music and the power to make a difference drive this intimate, poignant and unlikely documentary. In 1986, harmonica player Adam Gussow asked if he could jam with one man band Sterling “Mr. Satan” McGee and an unforgettable collaboration began between the Jewish musician and Harlem legend, who once played with James Brown and Etta James. Filmed over two decades, the film is a revealing look at an extraordinary inter-generational artistic collaboration and unlikely friendship, marked by heartbreak and the transformative power of music.
The Old Blues Kats will play in the PMA Cafe starting at 5:00 PM — join us for a drink and the blues before the film!
