This charming and touching documentary celebrates the life work of Miriam and Rudi Weissenstar, who first opened the doors of Tel Aviv’s world renowned Photo House in 1936. In the aftermath of Rudi’s passing and in the shadow of a wrenching family tragedy, the fate of the shop rests on the shoulders of Miriam and her grandson, Ben, who share a bond. With a rousing blend of candid humor and woe, Life in Stills is a deeply human and heartfelt story of relationship across generations, the footprint of grief and of the tension which exists between preserving the old, while making way for the modern.
