Life seems normal in a small Hungarian village in 1945: business is good at the pharmacy owned by the town clerk and, and the villagers are eagerly preparing for his son’s wedding. Then two mysterious Jewish strangers dressed in black appear at the railway station and within a few hours, everything changes. Shot in black and white, this visually beautiful, suspenseful film explores how fear and guilt can generate unforeseen consequences.
