The Maine Jewish Film Festival is one of a handful of non-profits invited by the Maine Association of Nonprofits to participate in the 14th annual Maine Nonprofit Day at the State House in Augusta on February 7th. Nonprofit Day gives the nonprofit community the opportunity to educate lawmakers on the critical role that nonprofits play in Maine’s economy and in serving Maine’s communities. MJFF will join a diverse group of non profits representing among others health, education, and environmental organizations. We’re thrilled to participate in this important event that trumpets the great work being done in our state by hardworking non-profit organizations.
We’re very proud to be a part of Maine’s nonprofit community, which is one of the most robust and vibrant in the country, playing a significant role in the state’s reputation as a great place to live and raise a family. From supporting early care and education of our children and developing future community leaders, to supporting our most vulnerable residents and protecting our natural environment, nonprofits are critical to our present and our future.
