Come Closer

The only person Eden has really ever loved is her teenage brother Nati. There are no secrets between them— or so Eden believes. When Nati is killed in a car accident, Eden discovers that he had a whole hidden world that she knew nothing about, including a secret girlfriend that he was in love with, Maya.

Eden embarks on a clandestine investigation. She stalks Maya, studies her, and ultimately develops a desperate obsession that results in an attempt to pull Maya into her own life, hoping that their shared love for Nati can somehow keep him “alive” in her current broken being.
The two develop a relationship that, at first, is joyous and intoxicating. Sweet and demure Maya is fascinated by Eden’s seductive and risk-oriented side, and Eden is only too happy to draw Maya into the darker regions of existence, where she feels most comfortable. Maya falls hard for Eden. The relationship grows intensely all-consuming, blending sensuality with a dangerous edge.
At the end of summer, Eden and Maya decide to complete Nati’s unfulfilled plans to travel to a distant beach in the Sinai desert. Eden even has dreams of creating a life for both of them – perhaps the three of them – on that beach, where one can dictate one’s own reality. However, plans unravel, and Eden’s volatile tendencies could lead her to an irreversible act.
