Gloria Allred, the woman who took on Donald Trump in 2012 and won, doesn’t care if you don’t understand her. But she does care deeply about giving a voice to those who might otherwise not get a public hearing. Her stands on gay and reproductive rights and equal pay legislation seem prescient today. This energetic film traces her long history of activism before widespread media recognition and subsequent use of her prominence as a tool to help others. A well edited collection of news footage charts her legal fights and victories . This timely film reveals both Allred and the causes she’s championed. Film followed by discussion led by Maine Law professor Jennifer Wiggins and litigator Jodi L. Nofsinger.
