Life in Stills Documentary / Dir: Tamar Tal / 2011 / Israel / Hebrew w/ Eng ST / 60 min
In 1936, Miriam and Rudi Weissenstar first opened the doors of Tel Aviv’s world renowned Photo House. After Rudi’s passing and in the shadow of a wrenching family tragedy, the fate of the shop rests on the shoulders of Miriam and her grandson, Ben. With a rousing blend of candid humor and woe, this touching documentary tells the deeply human story of a relationship across generations amid the tension which exists between preserving the old, while making way for the modern.

Work in Progress, Documentary / Dir Barak Heymann, Nadan Pines, Tomer Heymann / 2018 / Israel / Hebrew, Arabic w/Eng ST / 48 min
Eight of Israel’s most passionate social activists join with the countries most acclaimed and influential Youtubers to encourage connection across a multitude of boundaries. Playful and stimulating, the film creates a level platform for dialogue which breaks through stereotypes and stigma, across socioeconomic status, religions, ethnicities, races and sexual and gender identities. Life affirming and thought provoking, we are reminded that at the heart of forging change is the ability to humanize and relate intimately with those foreign to ourselves.
